In my telegram No. 108 of the 10th November 1 reported
that General Chang wei-ahang (
) director of the
Canton Aviation Eureau, was starting on an extended tour of
China in a iyan monoplane moently purchased by the Canton
Government, and that his intention was to visit Fankow, Nanking, Kaiping, Peking. Makden, Tientsin and Shanghai before
returning to Canton. He started on the morning of the 11th
November and i seo from the press that he reached Hankow
safely in a non-stop flight and was continuing to Nanking.

written by Mr. H. Vaughan-Fowler gives further particulars
regarding General Jhang and his companions, and of the
ambitious undertaking on which they have embarked. Vanghan-Fowler is a flying officer in the ibyal Air Force and was until recently the adjutant of the Kaitak aerodromé
in Hongkong. He has been engaged during the past year,
with the approval of the Hongkong Government, in trying to
interest the Minese authorities in the formation of a
30mmrcial aeroplane service for South China and he has beer
approached with a tentative offer of an appointment as
aeronautical adviser to the Canton dovernment, which he wa like to accept on his approaching retirement from the army, Please see my telegram No.98 of the 57th October last,
